// YARD AUCTION BLOCK

Waste Auction

List your audited dead code as a timed sale, not only a fixed price. You pay a Scraps listing fee to run the lot. Buyers compete under clear rules—either a descending price you control, or an open bid ladder. When someone wins, Vault holds settlement the same way as any other trade.

// DEFINITION

What Waste Auction is

Waste Auction is the WASTE.LAND name for auction-style listings: the yard runs a clock, Scraps move under rules you choose, and the platform keeps one neutral path to escrow. It sits alongside Offers (open inventory at a price) and Wanted (demand-first posts)—here the drama is time + competition, not just browse-and-message.

// LIST

If you are selling

You still pass The Overseer and publish a real listing. For Waste Auction you pick a mode (see below), set your parameters—start price, floor (reserve), timing, minimum bid steps for open auctions—and pay the listing fee in Scraps when the lot goes live. Fees and refunds follow the economy rules at launch.

// BID / CLAIM

If you are buying

You watch the lot’s live state from the app: current price or current high bid, time to end, and reserve hints where we show them. In descending mode you claim the price on screen before someone else does. In open bid mode you place bids that beat the last valid offer by the minimum step. Winning triggers the same Vault preview-and-release story as everywhere else.

// MECHANISMS

Two modes under one name

Waste Auction supports Scrapfall (descending price) and open bid formats. Published economy rules apply at launch.

SCRAPFALL LOT

Price starts high and drops on a schedule until someone hits Buy / Claim at the current number, or the price hits your floor without a buyer. Tension: wait for a lower price vs lose the lot to a faster scavenger.

// DECLINING · FIRST CLAIM WINS

OPEN BID LOT

Bidders place rising offers in Scraps before the clock ends. Rules define minimum increment, reserve, and optional anti-sniping. Highest valid bid at close wins (exact settlement rule is fixed at product launch).

// CLASSIC COMPETITION

// SETTLEMENT

Vault after the hammer

Auction outcomes are not handshakes in the dark: the winning amount flows into Vault escrow—preview under policy, release or refund per contract, disputes on the same rails as fixed-price deals.

// STATUS
